Salary Range: $120-140k
The Accounts Receivable Regional Manager is responsible for ensuring the consistency and quality of the AR effort across the company and in their assigned Region. They train and develop the AR Consultants who report to them and serve as back up during times of transition when an open AR Consultant position arises.
This role includes but is not limited to:
Assists in the recruiting and hiring of AR Consultants
Trains and develops the AR Consultants who report to them
Supervises the AR Consultants, including evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed
Conducts touch base meetings with AR Consultants on a regular basis, as assigned
Implement processes and procedures to ensure consistency in their region and throughout the company
Participates in annual AR strategic planning under the direction of the Director of ARCs
Assists in planning regional Meetings with ARCs
Meets with Director of AR monthly to discuss performance of facilities against plan
Attends monthly CFO/SVP Aging Reviews
Trains ARCs and Regional BOMs on the technical knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their role
Teaches all aspects of batch claim billing, claims, banking, accounting and EMR software
Teaches eligibility for all payor types, such as Medicaid, Medicare, commercial, etc
Teaches the authorization process for all payors
Teaches billing process for all payors
Teaches follow-up process for all payors, including claim correction and appeals
Teaches collection process for private accounts, including small claims court, collection agencies and any referrals
Works with facility to improve billing processes, such as Triple Check, Admission tracking, hospice & Private billing etc.
Helps recruit and interview candidates for ARC, RBOM, BOM and BOA positions
Makes recommendations that are seriously considered regarding the hiring, performance management, and termination of Business Office personnel
Works with ARC on how to lead, supervise and develop their business Office staff
Performs exit report with the Administrator after each visit
Visits facilities monthly as assigned per region
Attends Triple Check and PDPM at each facility as assigned per region
Attends A-Z aging review with ARC and Administrator as assigned per region
Reviews 120+ day aging w/ARC on challenging buildings
Completes month-end close with each facility monthly or as assigned per region
Maintains software and performs new facility and user setup
Able to travel locally and out of the area as needed to support and consult with facilities, including overnight travel
Follows all HIPAA regulations
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Possesses strong knowledge of state and federal regulations
Ability to follow appropriate safety guidelines
Must meet all local health regulations and pass pre-employment physical exam, which includes drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry
Able to carry out the essential functions of this job (with or without reasonable accommodation) without posing specific, current risk of substantial harm to health and safety of self and others
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School graduate or equivalent required; college degree preferred
5-7 years experience as an AR Consultant preferred
5-7 years experience as a supervisor
Possesses knowledge and experience in Medicare, Medicaid and HMO billing
Possesses skills in private collection
Possesses excellent computer skills, including keyboarding, and use of computer applications and MS Office
