An Assistant Manager is expected to be a key leader of his or her restaurant management team and is expected to help direct their team toward achieving excellence in restaurant operations and customer service. As a leader, you are expected to help guide, motivate, and mentor others in the restaurant, while also developing your management skills and understanding of the business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service by managing the daily restaurant operations
- Direct efficient and accurate preparation of sale of products for prompt customer delivery within the established speed of service and food safety guidelines
- Set an example for team members by working hard to implement shift plan and ensure swift and smooth production
- Responsible for managing team members and shift coordinators on team stations, products, processes, and policies
- Motivate shift team and assist with all front and back of house duties
- Assist the General Manager by overseeing an assigned shift
- Monitors brand standards execution and adherence and direct hourly staff to achieve guest service standards in a clean and pleasant environment
- Assist in the achievement of controllable profit goals by monitoring controls and taking corrective action to achieve the desired result
- Develop and coach hourly employees on brand standards, corporate policies and procedures, and other guest-focused programs/activities to meet or exceed guest service standards
- Work with the General Manager to attract, hire, onboard, and retain competitive hourly talent to meet staffing requirements and guest service standards
- Bring employee relation issues, deviations from brand standards, and other guest issues to the attention of the General Manager recommends and participate in the execution of corrective action as required
- Work with the General Manager to develop hourly employees through corporate training programs, individual development plans, and system assignments
- Develop relationships with civic, business, school, and professional organizations to establish good community relations and increase guest counts, as requested
- Ensure proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests, and company assets
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
- Work to create and maintain an enjoyable and respectful environment for our guests and employees
- Address and resolve complaints and requests promptly and in a courteous manner
- Follows management cash handling, inventory, and other operational procedures as outlined in Burger King brand standards
- Complete all other tasks and duties as assigned
- Willingness to assist others without being asked
