Moriroku Technology North America in Anderson, IN is searching for a 3rd shift Maintenance Sr. Technician. The Sr. Maintenance Technician at Moriroku Technology North America, an automotive manufacturer, is responsible for the installation, upkeep, repair, and improvement of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems and machinery used in injection molding processes, painting processes, and assembly processes, for the manufacturing of vehicles. The Sr. Maintenance Technician also has additional responsibilities in the installation, upkeep, repair, and improvement of equipment in the facility, grounds, and shipping departments. This role ensures minimal downtime by performing preventive maintenance; troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in breakdown situations; and responding in a timely manner to urgent repair needs. The Sr. Maintenance Technician works collaboratively with production and other production support teams to optimize equipment uptime and performance, to meet manufacturing goals.
Responsibilities:
- Machine Installation
- Install up to 480-volt 3 phase electric, compressed air, processed water, and other utilities as needed in the installation of injection molding, paint, and assembly equipment
- Machine Setup and Calibration
- Maintain machines to OEM specifications to meet production requirements and quality standards
- Assist in setting machines up for new model and production activities, including setting up programs/configuring equipment settings.
- Set up milling machinery, lathes, etc used for fabrication / welding
- Install & implementation of electrical circuits
- Preventive Maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance on injection machines & related production equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on utilities (HVAC, Compressors, Chillers, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance on paint line (RTO, Paint Pit, etc.)
- Troubleshooting and Repairs
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC, and pneumatic issues on manufacturing equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings to aid in the troubleshooting of equipment
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs
- Analyze machine failures to find root cause and apply countermeasures when appropriate
- Troubleshoot and repair paint line equipment – RTO, fire suppression system, paint pit, etc
- Maintain loading docks & related shipping equipment
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, maintenance repairs, and other maintenance activities, in accordance with ISO and IATF standards.
- Follow standard operating procedures for equipment maintenance, safety protocols, and documentation best practices.
- Utilize Microsoft suite software and general computing skills to assist in the documentation process.
- Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating manufacturing machinery
- Utilize fall arrest equipment to work at heights reaching and exceeding 40 feet
- Safe operation of heavy equipment such as fork truck, scissor lift, robotics, overhead crane, electrical units etc.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to meet 5S ideologies
- Communication
- Communicate effectively within the department to coordinate maintenance repairs and activities, in both written and verbal communication
- Train and mentor other associate as necessary
- Parts ordering including purchase orders and contacting vendors for cost, lead times, etc
- Continuous Improvement
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce maintenance costs
- Suggest and implement modifications or upgrades to improve machine performance and reliability
Skills/Requirements:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers and automated systems is a plus
- Technical Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with injection molding manufacturing equipment such as injection molding presses, thermal regulating equipment, robots, conveyors, and material loading systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Ability to use hand and power tools to perform repairs/installations.

- Physical Requirements:
- Walking/standing for 8+ hours daily
- Repetitive motions (bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, lifting, etc.)
