Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Staging Technician to support our pharmacy operations by preparing prescriptions for delivery, coordinating dispatch activities, and ensuring medications are accurately staged for courier pickup. This role is essential in maintaining timely, accurate, and efficient medication delivery while complying with pharmacy regulations and company policies.
Duties
- Stage completed prescriptions for delivery according to route and delivery schedule.
- Verify patient information, delivery addresses, and prescription labels for accuracy.
- Organize medications by delivery route, courier, or scheduled pickup time.
- Coordinate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and delivery drivers to ensure timely dispatch.
- Prepare delivery manifests, packing slips, and related documentation.
- Package medications securely while following all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain an organized staging and dispatch area.
- Track outgoing deliveries and resolve dispatch discrepancies.
- Receive and document returned medications in accordance with company policy.
- Monitor inventory of dispatch and packaging supplies.
- Assist with workflow improvements to increase efficiency and reduce delivery errors.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform additional pharmacy support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
