Full time Line Cook – Rustica Wayzata
Rustica Bakery is seeking a dependable and motivated Cook to join our Wayzata team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, takes pride in producing quality food, and can be counted on to show up ready to work.
Schedule
- TUESDAY-FRIDAY SCHEDULE REQUIRED
- Tuesday-Thursday 9am-6pm, Friday 6:30am-2:30pm
- FULL TIME
Position Summary
The Cook is responsible for preparing and executing Rustica's menu items according to recipe and presentation standards. This position supports daily kitchen operations while maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Set up and stock stations for service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout the shift
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements
- Assist with prep work, stocking, and kitchen projects as needed
- Work efficiently and communicate effectively with team members
- Support a positive and professional kitchen environment
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of professional cooking experience required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Food safety knowledge preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, high energy, and physically demanding environment for periods of up to 8 hours in length.
- Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel and have the ability to lift bus pans and trays frequently weighing up to 50 pounds 60% of the shift.
- Will spend 98% of the time standing and walking.
- Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees.
- Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
- Must be able to see to 20/20 vision with correction.
- Must be able to speak the primary language of the restaurant, appropriate to its location.
