Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their retail shopping experience, including explaining product features and financial services options.
- Process cash transactions accurately using cash registers and 10-key typing systems, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and cash management.
- Support retail lending activities by providing information on loan products, assisting with loan processing, and collecting payments or overdue loans through loan collections procedures.
- Maintain precise data entry records related to sales transactions, customer accounts, and financial software updates.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally, resolving issues related to banking or retail services while delivering excellent customer service.
- Support store operations by managing cash drawers during shifts, balancing registers at the end of each day, and ensuring compliance with cash handling policies.
- Assist in retail store tasks such as stock replenishment, merchandising displays, and maintaining a clean, organized environment conducive to sales growth.
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or a customer-facing role is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for engaging with people is essential.
- Familiarity with banking or financial services environments enhances your ability to explain products like retail lending or financial software tools.
- Basic math skills are necessary for processing transactions accurately and managing cash drawers effectively.
- Experience with data entry or using financial software systems will support efficient record keeping and transaction processing.
- Previous retail store experience involving cash handling, cashiering, or retail math is advantageous for success in this role.
