Upstate Rebar is currently hiring a Project Manager. We are a family-owned company and major fabricator and supplier of quality reinforcing bar, welded wire mesh, bar supports, accessories and anchor bolts to meet the needs of a variety of industries, including commercial contractors, home builders, municipalities, highway and bridge contractors and DOT projects. We sell concrete reinforcing products throughout the Northeast United States. The ideal candidate is someone looking to work in a fast paced, dynamic industry with a team of motivated coworkers. Responsibilities:
- Receiving and processing requests directly from customers (via telephone, fax and email) for price quotations, product availability, customer orders, material returns, billing corrections, product information, order changes, and cancellations
- Work with Director of Ops to communicate inventory needs
- Coordinate delivery and/or pick up of customer orders with Plant Foreman and Customer
- Manage and complete Change orders
- Responsible for managing the life of the project
- Receiving and processing requests directly from customers (via telephone, fax and email) for price quotations, product availability, customer orders, material returns, billing corrections, product information, order changes, and cancellations
- Quickly and smoothly resolve customer issues
- Coordinate delivery and/or pick up of customer orders with operations teams
- Provide support to Outside Sales force
- Generate price quotations in a timely manner
- Maintain strong relationships with customers
- Follow up with low bidders of awarded contracts
- Assist walk in customers
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in construction industry or product sales experience
- Concrete Construction experience
- Construction or field experience, this would be a great opportunity to transition from the field to office setting
- Strong computer and technology skills
- Good written and verbal communication
- Problem solving and prevention
- Planning, organization and time management
- Self-motivated, sense of personal responsibility
