Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Homewood Suites team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across our Hotel. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment by performing routine inspections of our guest rooms, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs with precision. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and kitchen appliances to identify issues before they impact operations.
- Perform repairs and preventative repairs and maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and ventilation systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including work performed on mechanical systems, appliance repairs, and safety checks.
- Collaborate with team members to execute maintenance projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and operational standards.
- Maintain end of month procedures changing filter
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in repairing mechanical systems and equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting any mechanical issues
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Experience with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) technology and related service procedures.
- Customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and support operational needs professionally.
- Familiarity with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices.
- Construction experience is a plus for understanding building systems integration.
- Leadership qualities to assist in training or guiding junior team members when necessary.
