Grocery Clerk, Sunny Farms Country Store – Sequim, WA
In search of an enthusiastic, customer-focused, friendly, and experienced clerk to join our team to help ensure that the grocery area of our market is well-maintained and running efficiently on the weekends. You will act as a point of contact with customers and help them with information and support in buying their groceries.
This part-time position is for the closing shift. Your main duty will be restocking of available products and light janitorial. To exceed in this role, the ideal candidate will have a friendly and open attitude, with outstanding communication skills and work well without supervision. This is a great spot for a responsible high school or college student looking to save up for school.
Responsibilities:
- Ask customers about their needs and help them in making purchases.
- Assist customers over the phone for product availability, pricing and ordering.
- Escort customers to the appropriate aisle or shelve to assist with purchasing decisions.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure the store is clean, safe and in order.
- Prepare store displays and ensure that products are accurately labeled.
- Process customer orders and payments, (cashiering, bagging, etc.).
- Breakdown incoming freight.
- Stock and face product on shelves.
Requirements:
- Previous grocery/retail experience.
- Customer service oriented.
- Ability to interact with customers of diverse backgrounds in a positive manner.
- Team player -- work well with others.
- Detail oriented.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including night & weekends.

Pay: $17.13 - $18.00 per hour
