As a Deli Manager, you’ll lead daily operations, develop team members, drive sales and profitability, and ensure high-quality food and outstanding customer service in a fast-paced grocery store deli environment.

What You’ll Do
-
Lead daily operations of the deli department and branded food concepts
-
Supervise, schedule, recruit, hire, train, and develop team members
-
Drive sales, profitability, labor management, and waste reduction efforts
-
Ensure food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and health standards are maintained

Assist with food preparation, presentation, portion control, and product quality

Manage inventory, product ordering, receiving, and stock rotation procedures
-
Execute promotions, upselling, and local store marketing initiatives

Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and ensure transaction accuracy

Monitor opening/closing procedures and department performance metrics

Build a positive team culture focused on customer satisfaction and accountability
What We’re Looking For
-
Previous deli, food service, restaurant, grocery, or retail management experience preferred
-
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Strong customer service and communication skills

Basic math, financial literacy, and inventory management skills

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and POS systems preferred

Ability to work at various store locations as needed

Food Handler Permit required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)

Flexible full-time availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)

Fast-paced grocery store deli and food service environment

Exposure to hot cooking equipment and cold storage/freezer areas

Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs
