Description:
The Dietary Aide is responsible for supporting the Dietary Supervisor and Cook in the preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals for residents/tenants in an assisted living environment. This role helps ensure that food preparation areas remain clean, sanitary, and organized, while maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all residents.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Set up and clean up the dining room before and after meals.

Assist with basic meal preparation and meal service according to the planned menu.

Help feed residents/tenants who need assistance, following safe feeding practices.

Practice and enforce proper sanitary food handling techniques and safe work habits.

Clean kitchen and surfaces according to sanitation schedules.

Support a dignified, respectful, and caring atmosphere with residents/tenants, families, guests, and team members.

Promote a healthy, resident/tenant-focused environment by interacting cooperatively and compassionately with residents and tenants.

Respond promptly and positively to resident/tenant and family requests and dietary needs.

Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance in accordance with company standards.

Keep strict confidentiality regarding resident/tenant information, and company operations in compliance with HIPAA and Platinum Communities’ policies.

Attend and actively participate in required meetings and in-service training opportunities.

Follow all community policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.

Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be at least 14 years of age.

Ability to read, speak, and write in English.

Flexible availability, including the ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional extra shifts as needed.

Must have or be willing to obtain CBRF/RCAC certifications, if required by the community.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain composure and professionalism while working with elderly and/or vulnerable populations.
