Job Summary
The Paint Robot Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, and supporting automated robotic spray booths used to apply polyurea coatings to manufactured products. This position will operate ABB IRB 5500 paint robots and Graco Reactor proportioning systems while maintaining safe, consistent, and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
- Start up, operate, monitor, and shut down robotic spray booth equipment.
- Monitor ABB IRB 5500 robot operation and respond to faults, alarms, or process interruptions.
- Operate and monitor Graco Reactor equipment, including material temperatures, pressures, ratios, and flow.
- Load and select approved robot programs and make basic process adjustments as authorized.
- Inspect coated parts for coverage, thickness, appearance, and other quality requirements.
- Refill coating materials and perform routine flushing, cleaning, and preventive maintenance.
- Clean spray guns, nozzles, hoses, filters, and booth components.
- Document production quantities, material usage, downtime, defects, and maintenance activities.
- Follow all safety procedures for robotic equipment, high-pressure spray systems, chemicals, ventilation, and required personal protective equipment.
- Assist maintenance, controls, and engineering personnel with troubleshooting and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Mechanical or technical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot automated equipment.
- Experience with industrial painting, robotic systems, or plural-component spray equipment is preferred.
- Ability to read work instructions, follow safety procedures, and maintain accurate records.
- Willingness to work around polyurea materials while wearing the required personal protective equipment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

- 4:30 am - 4:30 pm
