Duties
- Safely transport prepared food from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Assist with clearing tables, bussing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
- Handle manual lifting of food trays, dishes, and supplies using safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Support kitchen staff by performing basic food handling tasks and assisting with food preparation when needed.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and guests to coordinate timely service delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness of service stations, including wiping down surfaces and organizing utensils or condiments.
- Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process guest orders when required, ensuring smooth service flow.
Experience
- Previous experience in food running, serving, or hospitality roles is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including food safety protocols and basic food handling procedures.
- Experience working with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests in person.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and manual handling safely throughout shifts.
- Knowledge of restaurant or kitchen environments enhances your ability to support seamless service delivery.
