American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring Epic EMR experience and a CA RN license, working night shifts on a 36 or 48-hour weekly schedule.

Labor & Delivery unit in an acute care hospital setting

Night shift, 12-hour shifts

36 or 48 hours per week available

Epic EMR used; prior Epic experience is required

Active CA RN license required

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required

Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required

Current PALS certification (American Heart Association) required

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire

Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required within 6 months of hire; Advanced Fetal Monitoring required within 1 year of hire

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required, with clinical experience in the specialty within the last 3 months

Active, unrestricted RN license with no prior hits on record

BSN preferred

Two supervisory references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years

Specialty-specific skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration

Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during the assigned shift

Develops and implements nursing care plans based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care
-
Collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care across all age groups including neonatal through geriatric
-
Incorporates patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall care plan
-
Delegates patient care tasks to other nursing staff within their clinical competence and legal scope of practice
