We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented, part time Chiropractic Assistant/Front Desk professional to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support, ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to treatment. Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and manage appointment scheduling.
- Conduct insurance verification and process medical billing and collections accurately utilizing medical coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10).
- Maintain precise medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and data security.
- Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information, updating health histories, and explaining clinic policies clearly.
- Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette while providing outstanding customer service to patients and providers alike.
- Support clinic operations by handling filing, data entry, appointment reminders, and managing electronic health records efficiently.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on care plans and documentation review to ensure accurate medical recordkeeping.
Skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical billing procedures is helpful.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle clerical tasks such as filing and managing medical records accurately.
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Prior clinic or dental office experience is helpful to understand healthcare workflows better.
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes including Medicare and other insurance plans; familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards.
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly to ever changing volumes of patients.
