Ice Cream Production Team Member
Olympic Mountain Ice Cream is looking for a reliable production team member to help make, package, and ship high-quality ice cream.
This position is hands-on and involves working in a food manufacturing environment. You will help with the full production process, including mixing, freezing, packaging, cleaning, and preparing finished product for storage or shipment. The right person will be dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and comfortable working as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor ice cream production equipment, including mixers, batch freezers, pumps, filling equipment, and packaging equipment.
- Follow food safety procedures, GMPs, sanitation rules, and company production standards.
- Help clean and sanitize equipment, tools, utensils, floors, and production areas.
- Package finished ice cream into containers, apply labels, seal products, and prepare them for storage or shipment.
- Perform basic quality checks for flavor, texture, appearance, packaging condition, and product consistency.
- Move ingredients, packaging, and finished goods safely throughout the facility.
- Assist with setup, changeover, breakdown, and cleaning of production equipment.
- Communicate equipment problems, quality concerns, or food safety issues to a supervisor.
Requirements
- Previous food production, manufacturing, warehouse, or kitchen experience is helpful.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull ingredients, packaging, and finished goods as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Willingness to follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- HACCP, GMP, or food safety experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
Work Environment
This job takes place in a food production facility and may include working around dairy ingredients, allergens, freezers, cold rooms, wet floors, cleaning chemicals, production equipment.
