Office/Customer Service Clerks provide many services to our customers, including answering and routing telephone calls, solving problems, issuing money orders, providing rain checks, handling bill payments, and selling convenience items like postage stamps, tobacco. They may be required to balance cash drawers, prepare store deposits, and complete necessary paperwork. Including the duties of a Cashiers, fast, friendly, and accurate check out services using computerized cash register systems. Accuracy and basic math skills are important, as is the ability to memorize product identification codes and weekly ad specials. Cashiers often bag their customers' orders and help shoppers find items in the store. They assist in the restocking, cleaning and dusting of the checkstands and surrounding areas and may take “return” products back to proper shelf
Duties:
Office/ Customer Service clerks work with computers, adding machines, cash register systems, and frequently use the store intercoms to make announcements and to contact various departments. In addition, they must be able to perform all duties of a cashier and other duties as assigned.
