We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep and new renovations. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable is critical as well as having a flexible schedule and being willing to be on call for emergencies after hours. Available for work at all locations from Newport to Lincoln City.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, walls repairs, clogged sinks, replace toilets, floor repair and install LVT. A team player who can help take out trash and assist in other areas when in a pinch.
- Tape, texture and paint for new additions and repairs
- Yard upkeep by mowing lawn, clipping hedges, collecting trash etc.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, room fans, deadbolts, leaky facets, slow drains, loose electrical sockets
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems such as hot water heaters, deck safety, circuit breakers
- Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
- Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues
Skills
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, sheet rock work and electrical systems
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- Willingness to learn new skills
