Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests, providing them with menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Aloha or Micros POS systems.
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Process payments accurately, handling cash and credit transactions with attention to detail.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and assisting with sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely food preparation.
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure guest health and safety.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred, with knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha, Micros, or OpenTable is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating hospitality and guest relations expertise.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately; cash handling experience is a plus.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated during shifts.
