Duties
- Develop and deliver comprehensive Mandarin Chinese lessons aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating various teaching tools and learning technology platforms such as Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Adapt instructional approaches to accommodate different learning styles and meet the needs of students with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Design, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Mandarin Chinese.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Assess student performance regularly through formative and summative evaluations, analyzing data to inform instruction and support individual progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, curriculum development, and instructional modifications to enhance overall educational quality.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement to foster strong home-school partnerships.
Skills
- Proven experience in classroom teaching of elementary school students, including classroom management and curriculum implementation.
- Strong knowledge of Mandarin Chinese language instruction, literacy education, math integration, and standardized testing preparation.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), learning technology tools, and educational compliance regulations.
- Experience working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds and those with disabilities or special education needs.
- Ability to adapt lessons based on different learning styles and provide instructional modifications as needed.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and support staff.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and Montessori or private school educational frameworks is a plus.
