Position Overview
Pause Pain & Wellness is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team in Corinth. This is a PRN position currently scheduled for one day per week on Mondays, with the potential to grow into 2–3 days per week as patient volume increases.
The provider will be responsible for evaluating patients for medical cannabis certification, educating patients on the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Program, and completing accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic policies and state regulations.
Responsibilities
Conduct patient evaluations for Mississippi medical cannabis certification.
Review patient medical history and qualifying conditions.
Determine patient eligibility in accordance with Mississippi Medical Cannabis Program guidelines.
Educate patients on the certification process, program requirements, renewals, and responsible use.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within the electronic health record.
Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinic team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
Ensure compliance with clinic policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-focused care while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Participate in community outreach or educational events as needed.
Qualifications
Active Mississippi Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
Ability to evaluate patients independently while working collaboratively with a supervising physician and clinical team.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
Professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care.
Experience in chronic pain, primary care, wellness, or medical cannabis is preferred but not required.
Must be comfortable discussing medical cannabis in an educational and compliant manner.
Schedule
Mondays in Corinth, MS.
PRN, 1 day per week to start.
