Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of clients in a memory care setting, and hospice care. This role requires a strong commitment to patient observation and adherence to HIPAA guidelines while delivering high-quality caregiving services.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are reported to healthcare professionals.
- Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding when required.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital sign monitoring is a plus.
- Familiarity with home community care practices, hospice care, and assisted living environments is beneficial.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required.
- Certification of Food Handlers is required.
- Mental Health and Dementia Specialty Training is required within 120 days of hire.
- CNA/HCA license or NAR is required at date of hire.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed while assisting clients.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and patience are essential for this role.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as required by client needs.
