Summary
I am a single dad who works from home and have a 15 YO and twin 10s who are basically self sufficient but with the kids out of school and an uptick in client engagements, I need someone who's flexible and able to help me with errands, meals, and helping me keep things on track on the home front. The ideal person will be comfortable with blended family dynamics, and willing to understand and help implement parenting plans. Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage the twins in activities and arrange social outings for/with them.
- Ensure the 15 y/o has transportation to go to approved activities or friends' house and be a trusted adult in the house to avoid any unwanted activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children during transportation.
- Ensure kids are attending to their assigned chores on a daily basis.
- Assist with grocery lists/shopping, providing healthy meals to kids and light meal prep.
- Assist with laundry and light household cleaning above and beyond kids' chores
- Administer first aid if/when necessary and maintain a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns
Qualifications
- Excellent driving record with reliable transportation / and/or proof of insurability
- Proven experience in childcare and babysitting
- Able to communicate directly and concisely with Dad, and still be emotionally responsive to kids.
- Ability to engage and interact positively with tweens aand teens
Dad has kids one week on and one week off during summer, so this is not necessarily full time. Depending on the person, there are opportunities to assist in other activities on the weeks off or even during the day. If you're looking for the casual every other week schedule that's just fine. If you're interested in starting there and potentially building to more of a full time half household admin and half business admin that's also and option we're willing to consider.
