Overview
A Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing engineering projects from start to completion. They ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet technical and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage engineering projects and activities
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and internal teams
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and project plans
- Prepare submittals and project drawings
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Monitor project progress, timelines, and budgets
- Identify risks and resolve technical issues quickly
- Conduct site visits and inspections
- Prepare reports, documentation, and project updates
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders about project status
Required Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of engineering principles and project management
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Familiarity with engineering software and tools (AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.)
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred; however, candidates with equivalent work experience or a related field of study are encouraged to apply.”
- Experience in project management or engineering roles (often 1–5+ years)
- Professional certifications (like PMP or PE) is a bonus
Work Environment
- Office-based with frequent site visits (This is not a remote position, must live local)
- May involve working with construction teams, vendors, and clients
- Can include travel depending on project location
