American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Acute Care position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, AHA-certified BLS and NIHSS, and an every-other-weekend schedule.

Acute care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting with 44 beds
-
Patient ratio of 1:5, with potential for 1:6 on both day and night shifts

CNA support available, typically at a 1:8–1:10 ratio

Telemetry is present on the unit but monitored by a separate unit
-
MEDITECH EMR — experience preferred but not required
-
12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
-
Every other weekend required

Holiday coverage required as needed

Floating required to all acute care and cardiology units for medical patients, or to the EC for acute care patient holds

Caribbean Blue scrubs required

Active GA or Compact RN license required

Current AHA-certified BLS and NIHSS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or acute care RN experience required

Driver's License required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (verified by address on Driver's License)

Orientation consists of approximately 1 week of general orientation (including EMR training) plus 2 days of floor-specific orientation

Candidates who have been employed at this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement

Any time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment
