Essential Functions:
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Essential Work Functions:
- Prepare and maintain print media, including loading materials and ensuring proper alignment.
- Operate large format finishing equipment, such as laminators, cutters, and trimmers.
- Conduct quality checks on printed materials to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Troubleshoot minor issues with printing equipment and assist in routine maintenance.
- Handle pre-press tasks, including organizing files, checking for quality and accuracy, and ensuring files are print-ready.
- Organize and manage the print queue to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines.
- Keep the workspace clean and organized, adhering to safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain inventory of printing supplies.
Requirements:
What you will bring to UCS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in printing or graphic design Knowledge software’s is a plus.
- Previous experience in a printing environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with large format printing processes and equipment is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. materials and stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving repetitive motions.
- Basic knowledge of file preparation software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus but not required.
Work Environment
- This position may require working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
- Some manual labor, including lifting and moving materials up to 50lbs with assistance, is required.
