Duties
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout the visit
- Support physicians with procedures
- Manage medical documentation meticulously, including recording patient notes, ICD coding for diagnoses, and updating medical records in EMR/EHR systems
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standardsRequirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics or hospital settings with exposure to dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and EMR management tools for efficient documentation and data entry
- Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics and inpatient care environments
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in medical records management and ICD coding practices
