Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality structures, ductwork, piping systems, and custom fabrications that meet project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced welding techniques and fabrication skills in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding with precision and consistency
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
- Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure proper fit and alignment
- Fabricate components from sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and structural steel following ASME codes & standards
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks
- Assemble fabricated parts according to schematics and technical instructions while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety protocols
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques; experience with welding preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication processes
- Ability to operate cranes or rigging equipment as needed for heavy lifting tasks
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing or construction environments
