Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Dance Teacher specializing in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Hip Hop styles to inspire students of all ages and skill levels. Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating techniques from Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Hip Hop styles
- Lead engaging dance classes that emphasize technique, choreography, musicality, and performance skills
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and motivating environment for all students
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
- Prepare students for performances by choreographing routines and coordinating rehearsals
- Incorporate elements of theater, storytelling, or photography into dance lessons to enhance artistic expression
- Maintain detailed lesson plans and classroom records to track student development and attendance
Skills
- Strong background in Ballet, Modern dance, Jazz, Hip Hop, and other contemporary dance styles
- Proven ability in teaching students of various ages including children in early childhood education or preschool settings
- Excellent classroom management skills with a focus on behavior management and childhood development principles
- Ability to work effectively with children, teenagers, and adult learners in both educational and recreational contexts
- Knowledge of theater arts and performance techniques to enrich dance instruction
- Skills in photography or videography for documenting performances or creating promotional content
- Experience in working with special education needs or inclusive classroom environments
- Competence in childcare or childcare-related activities such as sewing costumes or preparing props for performances
- Passion for dancing combined with strong communication skills to motivate students and foster a love for movement
