Job Requirements
- Experience with operational technology (OT) system platforms.
- Knowledge of industrial communication hardware and I/O systems.
- Experience with distributed control systems (DCS).
- Knowledge of NEC and electrical design requirements.
- Experience with ABB/Infi-90 or Bailey control systems.
- Experience with Siemens control system hardware and I/O architecture.
- Experience with DBDOC for Bailey systems.
- Ability to develop and maintain control system I/O documentation.
- Experience with industrial cable sizing, termination planning, and cable management requirements.
- Availability for occasional approved after-hours support, including nights and weekends.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting DCS migration projects.
- Experience migrating ABB/Infi-90 or Bailey systems to Siemens platforms.
- Experience with controller network and remote I/O architecture design.
- Experience developing master I/O lists and system cross-reference documentation.
- Knowledge of ladder tray, wireway, conduit, and cable fill requirements.
- Experience preparing cable termination schedules and contractor installation documentation.
- Experience supporting electrical and instrumentation field installation activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide daily support for routine control system troubleshooting and approved configuration changes.
- Support Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams with OT and DCS-related system issues.
- Assist electrical and instrumentation teams with documenting existing DCS I/O terminations.
- Compile field documentation and convert field notes into a master I/O list.
- Develop cross-reference documentation between existing ABB/Infi-90 I/O and Siemens system architecture.
- Determine Siemens I/O assignments based on production process areas, process groups, controller networks, and field device locations.
- Assign remote field terminal block panels for existing field devices.
- Determine intermediate cable sizing between Siemens I/O hardware and field terminal block panels.
- Verify cable tray, wireway, conduit, and related cable management systems remain within applicable fill limitations.
- Develop cable termination schedules, worksheets, and directories for electrical installation contractors.
- Provide technical hardware and infrastructure design support for DCS migration activities.
- Support approved Management of Change (MOC) activities associated with system configuration and infrastructure modifications.
