Responsibilities
- Welcome and room patients while creating a positive patient experience
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and chief complaints
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during OB/GYN procedures
- Administer injections and perform other clinical duties within scope of practice
- Collect laboratory specimens and perform basic clinical testing
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Clean, prepare, and stock exam rooms and medical supplies
- Schedule follow-up appointments, referrals, and diagnostic testing
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, pharmacies, and specialists
- Support daily clinical operations while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of Medical Assistant experience
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Professional, dependable, and patient-focused attitude
Preferred:
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- OB/GYN, Women's Health, Family Medicine, or Primary Care experience
- Experience administering injections and performing phlebotomy
- Current CPR/BLS certification
