Job Summary
Lee Woods Construction of FL is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale commercial construction projects from inception to completion. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision and take ownership of projects from site to mobilization through final completion.
Our work is primarily commercial construction, including pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB), warehouse and flex space developments, commercial site development and tenant improvements, along with select high-end custom residential project. Projects are focused in and around Lake, Sumter and Marion County, FL.

Duties
- Lead daily operations on construction sites, supervising subcontractors to ensure work progresses according to project plans and schedules from start to finish.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and deliveries
- Maintain and create project schedules and keep work progressing efficiently.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction documents to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
- Provide input and direction with the team for bidding proposals and schedule creation.
- Identify and solve field issues before they become project delays.
- Communicate effectively with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and project managers.
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and oversee procurement processes while maintaining strict control over project expenditures.
- Enforce OSHA standards and federal construction safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
- Oversee quality control measures, conducting regular inspections to ensure work meets industry standards and contractual requirements.
- Utilize construction management software such as Buildertrend, RedTeamGo for documentation of daily reports, scheduling confirmations, reporting, and communication.
- Supervise the review of contracts, change orders, and technical specifications to mitigate risks and clarify scope of work.
- Manage project schedules by coordinating construction activities, resolving conflicts, and adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations including OSHA standards.
- Familiarity with federal safety regulations such as OSHA standards; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Experience supervising subcontractors and managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

- Custom Residential Construction Experience ground up.
