About the Role:
As a Sr Building Engineer Lead at CBRE, you will be the operational backbone of a mission-critical hospital campus in Grapevine, TX. You are responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and operational efficiency of complex building systems. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires a technical expert capable of directing workflows, maintaining rigorous compliance standards, and fostering a safe, healing environment for patients, medical staff, and visitors.
In this role, you will lead the onsite maintenance team while remaining an active participant in daily operations, ensuring that both preventive maintenance programs and emergency repairs are executed to the highest standards. What You’ll Do:
Direct daily maintenance operations for the hospital campus, ensuring a safe and functional environment for patients and staff.
Provide direct leadership and technical mentorship to the onsite maintenance team, fostering professional development and consistent performance.
Manage the CMMS workflow by assigning work orders, tracking progress, and ensuring all tasks meet site-specific service level agreements.
Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance daily, actively assisting the team during high-volume periods or with complex equipment troubleshooting.
Perform hands on maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and general facility infrastructure.
Execute and oversee the preventive maintenance (PM) program to ensure all mechanical systems are serviced according to schedule and regulatory standards.
Utilize Building Automation Systems (BAS) to monitor, calibrate, and adjust facility environmental controls for optimal performance.
Maintain building infrastructure and life safety systems to ensure full compliance with healthcare facility codes and internal safety protocols.
Interact professionally and effectively with clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function.
Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage team workflows, and make independent decisions in a high-pressure environment.
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
