Position Summary
The Pantry Manager is a driving force behind Mission Oak Cliff (MOC). In partnership with the Director and MOC staff, this role spearheads the management of our food pantry and connects the hearts of our community with the profound needs of the homeless and hungry. Employee will be responsible for recieving, storing, sorting, and ensuring safety of all products provided to Mission Oak Cliff clients and for the general cleanliness of the food distribution areas. Position is up to 25 hours per week and schedule varries depending on need M-F 8-4.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
The following are fundamental duties that an individual who holds the position must perform. This is not an exhaustive list. Other duties, in addition to these essential job functions, will be assigned at the discretion of the Director.
1. Assist the MOC Driver with the pickup and recieving of products from local food banks and retail partners.
2. Sort and store all products for the food pantry and homeless clients in a safe manner, including rotating products so that older stock is used first and monitoring products to ensure that safe products are availible for distribution and consumption by clients. This role requires contact with spoiled foods.
3. Weigh and record all donations for the food pantry and submit forms to the director.
4. Restock food pantry daily as product is depleted. Work with volunteers to assist in restocking the food pantry.
5. Maintain cleanliness of refrigerators and freezers.
6. Break down boxes and properly dispose of trash daily.
7. Sweep and mop floors of warehouse, pantry, and other areas at least weekly, and more often as needed.
8. Maintain stock of bagged food items and snack bags for homeless clients.
9. Keep the director and associate director apprised of needs in the warehouse and pantry as they are depleted.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies
1. Ability to safely lift 50 lbs frequently; 75 lbs occasionally.
2. Application of safe procedures in storing, stacking, and rotating cases of products.
3. Knowledge of customer service principals and practicies
4. Ability to maintail calm and courtesy in stressful situations
5. Dependibility and dicipline
6. Interpersonal skills for working in a team and interacting with clients in sensitive populations, including those who are homeless, hungry, and experiencing mental illness.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Willingness to participate in all required trainings, including food safety, mental health first aid, and other trainings as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Highschool Diploma or GED required.
- Experience working or volunteering in a food pantry or kitchen preferred.
