We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) for an 8-week temporary assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong Labor & Delivery experience along with postpartum and nursery experience, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced night-shift environment.

- Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Hours: 12 hours per shift
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience – Required
- Postpartum and Nursery experience – Required
- ACLS – AHA – Required
- BLS – AHA – Required
- NRP – Required
- Active Ohio or Compact RN license at the time of submission
- Active AHA certifications at the time of start
- Current skills checklist completed within the past year
- Full professional resume required
- COVID vaccination card, if vaccinated
- BSN degree – Preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and reassessments according to established policies.
- Assess and manage patient pain using appropriate evaluation and intervention methods.
- Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Provide age-appropriate nursing care based on patient needs and developmental considerations.
- Safely administer medications while following the five rights of medication administration.
- Educate patients and families based on identified learning needs and evaluate their understanding.
- Perform clinical procedures and technical skills within the scope of RN licensure.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for patients and families.
- Address patients' psychosocial, cultural, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, care coordination, and other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate patient conditions and care needs clearly and professionally.
- Coordinate and supervise patient care as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Safely operate and maintain medical equipment.
- Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work effectively in stressful and fast-paced situations.
- Maintain required annual competencies, including bedside blood glucose testing competency.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge coordination.
Pay: $2,200.00 - $2,600.00 per week
