Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors using appropriate techniques such as vacuuming, mopping, and floor care equipment to ensure surfaces are spotless and safe.
- Handle cleaning tasks across guest rooms, common areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and hallways with precision and efficiency.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and chemical sprayers, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and manufacturer instructions.
- Manage chemical agents responsibly by handling, storing, and disposing of cleaning chemicals in compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while following proper ergonomic procedures to prevent injury.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by applying proper cleaning techniques aligned with hotel housekeeping management practices.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or facility maintenance with excellent customer service skills.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure safety during incidents or hazardous situations.
Experience
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience in hospitality or industrial cleaning environments.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and procedures is highly advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and chemical sprayers.
- Knowledge of safety data sheets (SDS), chemical handling protocols, and sanitation standards within hospitality settings.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during routine cleaning tasks.
- Strong understanding of hotel emergency procedures to respond effectively in urgent situations.
- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping roles that demonstrates reliability and attention to detail is preferred.
