Matthews Motors is seeking a motivated Paint Prep Technician / Painter Helper to join our team. This position plays a critical role in preparing trucks, trailers, utility bodies, and heavy equipment for high-quality industrial paint applications.

Requirements:

Prepare trucks, trailers, equipment, and utility bodies for painting

Sand, grind, and clean metal surfaces

Mask vehicles and components prior to paint application

Remove rust, old coatings, and contaminants

Mix paint and prepare materials under painter supervision

Load and unload vehicles into paint booths

Maintain paint booth cleanliness and organization

Clean and maintain spray equipment

Assist with minor bodywork and filler applications

Perform final inspections and touch-ups as directed

Follow all safety, environmental, and OSHA requirements

Previous experience in automotive, industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments preferred

Experience with sanding, grinding, masking, or painting is a plus

Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the day
