Hard Hat Gear is a locally owned and growing safety supply retailer serving tradespeople, contractors, and construction workers of all types. We offer a wide range of high-quality safety products, including hard hats, eye and hearing protection, welding gear, fall protection, traffic safety equipment, hi-vis apparel, flame-resistant workwear, and men’s and women’s safety footwear from trusted brands.
Our Springfield location is expanding, and we are seeking a motivated Lead Sales Associate to work alongside the Store Manager to support daily operations and continued growth.
We are currently accepting applications and plan to hire within the next two weeks. Candidates must submit an updated resume to be considered. Training will be at our Ozark location for 2 weeks. Pay starts at $16.50 with performance raises. 35-38 hours a week. We are open from 8am-530pm. You would have either Wednesday or Thursday off. Background check required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service and product knowledge
- Help drive sales and meet store performance goals
- Maintain store organization, merchandising, and inventory accuracy
- Reorder out-of-stock products
- Respond to emails, answer the phone and create customer quotes
- Receive shipments and assist with purchase orders
Qualifications
- Previous retail or customer service experience (leadership preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills, including Google Sheets and Excel
- Experience in POS systems and cash handling
- Inventory management experience, receiving and handling
- Dependable, organized, and self-motivated
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Availability to work Saturdays is required
- Steady employment history
- Interest or experience in construction, safety gear, or industrial products is a plus

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
