Position Description
Willamette Artisans is seeking an accomplished bench jeweler who works well with team members. A quality applicant will have a good attitude, good communication skills, good listening skills, receptive to constructive criticism, good problem solver, and operates with a high level of professionalism. creative, client-focused Jewelry Designer and Sales Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about fine jewelry, and has an appreciation for design and craftsmanship.
Skills Required
Proficiency in Custom Work:
- Ability to transform fresh in-house castings into final products ready to be delivered to clients. Completing the job according to the directions listed on the job slip, asking questions to confirm the instructions or additional details. High attention to detail and demonstrates fine jewelry standards for finished works.
Proficiency in Repair Work:
- Ability to size, retip, repair, fabricate.
Foundational Skills:
- Soldering, laser welding, finish work, stone setting (preferable stone setting skills include proficiency with bezel, flush, channel, bead/pave/micro-prongs). Training available as needed.
Desired Traits
- Meets deadlines and/or communicates with coworkers in advance if there are complications which will cause delay, willingness to learn and teach as needed, maintain a clean and well organized workspace, accurately keep track of time and materials used on each job, experience with and knowledge of the casting processes as well as maintaining equipment to keep it in good working order (training available as needed).
