Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that enhance the aesthetic and protective qualities of residential, commercial, and industrial structures. Duties
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and durability.
- Apply paint, stains, sealants, and coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray systems), and other hand or power tools.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and surface specifications to execute projects accurately.
- Select appropriate colors based on color theory principles and client preferences; perform visual color comparisons for consistency.
- Perform structural painting tasks such as stucco application, masonry coating, plastering, and restoration work on various surfaces.
- Use ladders safely to access elevated areas; adhere strictly to safety regulations including the use of respiratory protection and other PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Conduct surface preparation for construction painting projects—this includes sanding, scraping, patching holes or cracks, and ensuring surfaces are clean and smooth.
- Operate a variety of tools including hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless spray systems), and equipment for concrete finishing or welding when necessary.
- Assist with renovation projects by performing carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry or fixture installation; support maintenance and remodeling efforts as needed.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment on construction sites; report hazards or incidents promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting across residential, commercial, or industrial settings with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes to assess project scope and material requirements accurately.
- Expertise in color theory for effective color matching and aesthetic consistency.
- Skilled in using various painting methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (conventional and airless), and specialty coatings.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics for precise project execution.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction sites—especially respiratory protection—and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Competence with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup including ladder use safely at heights.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface area or material quantities.
- Experience with plastering, stucco application, masonry work, caulking techniques, fixture installation, restoration projects, and concrete finishing is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with handyman experience in maintenance or remodeling tasks enhance versatility on-site.

Pay: $25.06 - $30.18 per hour
