About the Role
Landmark Infusion is growing, and we're looking for an Infusion Intake Pharmacy Technician to join our team at our Irving office. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for patients starting home infusion therapy — coordinating their transition from the clinic or hospital to the home, entering new orders in our CareTend system, and keeping referral partners and internal teams informed every step of the way.
You'll work closely with our Reimbursement Specialists, Client Relations Directors, and Sales Team, so strong communication and follow-through matter here. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in excellent customer service, and want your work to directly improve patients' care experience, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Deliver exceptional service to patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers with a focus on patient-centered care and safety
- Monitor and update infusion queues with referral status to ensure timely delivery of care from clinic or acute settings to the home
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls with professionalism and empathy
- Enter new patient orders into CareTend accurately and efficiently
- Partner with the Sales Team and Patient Educators to ensure smooth discharge and start of care
- Educate patients and caregivers on Landmark's infusion pharmacy and skilled nursing services
- Provide financial counseling to set payment expectations, collect patient responsibility, and set up payment plans as needed
- Review patient accounts to identify missing medical documentation and coordinate with the Sales Team to obtain it
- Verify physician credentials at referral initiation (NPI, PECOS, licensure)
- Coordinate simultaneous services, including home infusion pharmacy and skilled nursing, and establish external nursing services when needed
- Collaborate directly with our Revenue Cycle Management team
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with federal, state, and regulatory guidelines
- Support process improvement initiatives and pursue ongoing professional development
- Assist other departments and take on additional duties as assigned
