Job Summary
The Patient Experience Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service through accurate patient registration and front-desk operations across all South Central OB/GYN clinic locations. This includes obtaining necessary documentation, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate patient records. This role requires consistent interaction with patients, families, and the public, both in person and by phone.
While the employee will be assigned a primary work location, coverage at other South Central OB/GYN clinics will be required based on operational needs and at the discretion of the Clinic Manager.
Minimum Qualifications

Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.

Basic computer proficiency required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous medical office, clinic, or patient registration experience preferred.

Experience with Epic or other electronic health record systems preferred.

Customer service experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Accurately schedule appointments in person and by phone in accordance with facility policies.

Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.

Ability to use computers, scanners, telephones, and other standard office equipment.

Ability to read and interpret patient information, insurance documents, and clinic forms.

Ability to maintain concentration while performing detailed registration and payment-processing tasks.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
