Summary
CCY is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to lead our Children's Ministry and nurture the spiritual growth of children from birth through sixth grade. This is a part-time position with a minimum of 12 hours per week, including Sunday mornings and every other Friday evening (Sept-April). There is potential for more hours as the ministry grows. This role is pivotal in shaping our programs and services, ensuring they align with our mission of community support and spiritual development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for the Children's Ministry that aligns with the church's overall mission and values.
- Select and utilize curriculum that is biblically sound and relevant to children's lives.
- Connect with children and families, and keep parents informed about ministry activities.
- Plan and execute engaging, educational, spiritual, and age-appropriate programs, including Sunday School, bi-weekly Friday Night Kid’s Club from September - April, and other Children’s Ministry Events.
- Lead and equip a team of volunteers to effectively serve in various roles within the ministry.
- Drive growth in attendance for children and volunteer participation.
- Manage the Children's Ministry budget and resources effectively.
- Ensure that all ministry activities comply with church policies and procedures.
- Planning and Preparation time can be done remotely with flexible hours.
Requirements
- A growing and vibrant faith in Jesus Christ.
- A passion for children and a desire to see them grow in their relationship with God.
- Experience in children's ministry or a related field.
- Knowledge of scripture and the ability to teach effectively.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
- Self-motivated, with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Clearances required.
- Pay range of $18-$22/hour, depending on experience.
