Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled LONG TERM Permanent Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role.
ONLY ONE dental assistant in this office so you must have great attendance/very responsible.
This person will provide high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
The hours are Monday-Thursday 9-5PM, Fridays 9-1PM and ONE saturday a month 9-1PM., must be able to work late some of the days.
This position have no health benefit, but does have some dental benefits. This is a 32 hours a week position.
The candidate will be very reliable, on time , and have a great attitude. Candidate MUST have completed a formal dental assistant course. Must have finish the full course in xray certification. The candidate must have the ability to take notes.

Duties
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
- Take medical imaging, including X-rays and 3D scans, as directed by the dentist.
- Record vital signs and patient medical history accurately.
- Provide chairside assistance during examinations and treatments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage dental records using Open Dental software, ensuring all information is up to date.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
- Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques.
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately.
- Experience in assisting during dental procedures with attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental care.
- Understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures.
- Familiarity with dental terminology for effective communication within the practice.
- Knowledge of infection control practices to ensure patient safety.
