Job Overview
Meadowdale Dental Center is looking to hire 2 part time dental hygienists or a full-time dental hygienist, as one of our long-time hygienists is retiring at the end of June. We are a family practice with 2 dentists, 3 hygienists, 3 dental assistants and 3 front office staff to ensure enough staffing for our patient care. Hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm. Hourly wage is $65-70 DOE.
Full Time Benefits include: Sick leave, 8 paid yearly holidays, starting 1 week vacation then 3 weeks. Medical insurance is available through our group plan with a 50% match paid from employer. 401K plan offered after 1 year; we also have a Safe Harbor plan (3% of your wages) paid through the employer.
You will have 8 patients per day at hourly increments, with lunch from 12:30pm-1:30pm. Our staff prides itself on our reputation in Kitsap County as one of the most caring offices in the area and our commitment to our military families.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, documenting dental findings, and updating medical records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures.
- Maintain detailed documentation review for treatment plans, medical coding, and billing accuracy while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Monitor medical imaging procedures such as X-rays while ensuring safety standards are met for both patients and staff.
- Uphold the highest standards of infection control and dental terminology to ensure a safe environment for everyone in the clinic.
Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
