Martin Sprocket & Gear is looking for a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join our Arlington, TX team! In this fulltime, on-site role, you’ll play a vital role in producing precise made-to-order layout drawings for our mechanical power transmission components, often fast-paced in response to customers' needs. For 75 years, this location has produced sprockets, gears, and other core products that drive customers' machinery, worldwide. With a focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement, our team helps keep industries moving by manufacturing the products our customers depend on every day.

- Your Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
What You’ll Do:
- Generate full manufacturing prints: Create detailed drawings that meet all required standards for equipment and part assemblies
- ERP System work: Use the ERP system to create bills of materials and shop routings
- Collaborate with shop personnel: Work with the team on the shop floor to ensure all manufacturing specifications are met
- Keep Safety #1: Follow safety protocols and wear all required PPE for the duration of time in a safety-sensitive area
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum education/experience: Associate degree or equivalent work experience
- 3D drafting skills: Proficiency in Solid Edge or similar 3D modeling software is required
- Supplemental experience in 2D AutoCAD is a plus, but not required
- Attention to detail: Strong focus on accuracy and good communication in all tasks
- Availability: Full-time, with occasional Saturday overtime as needed, adherence to attendance and company policies
- Mechanical knowledge: Familiarity with basic machining practices and materials is a plus, as is general mechanical knowledge
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Reliability and accuracy: Commitment to reliable work with a high standard of accuracy in drawings and specifications
