Position offers and wage will be based on experience, credentials, and schedule. We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant, Certified Veterinary Assistant, or Licensed Veterinary Technician.
Van Stavern Small Animal Hospital is looking for responsible and caring employees to join our team. Part time or full time scheduling is available. The position requires attention to detail and organizational skills, excellent communication skills (both telephone and in-person), and the ability to multitask.
Applicants must be willing to and capable of performing all job tasks including, but not limited to: drawing blood samples, running lab equipment, administering medications, monitoring anesthesia (BP, HR, SPO2, RR, CO2, etc.), knowledge of preventative care, assisting and communicating with clients and other veterinary professionals, and some heavy lifting. Knowledge of medications and what they treat and/or prevent preferred. The job will include some weekends, holidays, and evening hours.

Pay: $10.00 - $18.00 per hour

Experience:
- Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Technician: 2 years (Required)
- surgical monitoring: 1 year (Preferred)
- venipuncture and IV catheter placement: 1 year (Required)
