Job Purpose:
Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Dockworker and become a vital part of our warehouse operations. This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced distribution environment, where your efforts directly contribute to efficient shipping, receiving, and materials handling. As a Dockworker, you will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, operating forklift, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse.
Essential Job Functions:
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, hand trucks and pallet jacks while adhering to safety standards.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments, inspecting freight for damages, and maintaining proper documentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following OSHA guidelines, performing safety checks on equipment.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on inventory management, load planning, and optimizing warehouse space.
- Must be capable of frequently lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or similar logistics environments is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail during loading & unloading activities.
· Must have forklift experience
· Willing to train on Electric Jack and Dock Handling Equipment
