Applications engineers are responsible for sizing/selecting pumps and related equipment according to the customers application requirements. Will be responsible for providing quotations, check availability of stock and process orders via computer. Additional duties include assisting outside sales staff by preparing quotations and sourcing product.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience of pump selection
- Must have completed a fluid hydraulic training course
- Must have the full understanding of reading centrifugal and positive displacement performance curves
- Must have detailed knowledge of electrical motors
- Must have the full understanding of NPSH, TDH, and the affinity laws
- Experience with Microsoft Excel & Word
- The ability to multitask
