What You'll Do — Responsibilities
No two days are exactly the same, but here's a look at what your role will typically involve:
In the office:
- Answer phone calls and relay messages.
- Maintain files.
- Mail invoices.
- Run errands.
- Help prepare for meetings.
- Assist leadership as needed.
- Assist with employee training.
On Call/Caregiving:
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
- Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises
- Prepare meals and snacks
- Light housekeeping activities
- Medication Assistance
- Assist with errands and shopping
- Educating family members on safe care techniques
What We're Looking For — Qualifications
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Here's what helps you stand out:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, knowledge of PC's, and mobile apps used for scheduling and documentation.
- Able to take direction with positive attitude and focus on client wellbeing.
- Previous experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or in a similar role preferred (1 year preferred — but not required)
- Basic housekeeping and cooking skills
- Ability to adhere to health and safety guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects as needed
- Compassionate, respectful, and ethical in all interactions
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Valid automobile insurance (required)
- Willing to drive up to 45 min from the office. (mileage paid)
- Available to be on call every other weekend
